Inspiration!!

First of all, I've begun to wonder if anyone reads this, especially since I post so rarely. So yeah, all you non-existant readers (who happen to be reading this at the moment ;) ) Feel free to comment or something so I know you, in fact, exist. Otherwise I'm just talking to myself in writing, and that's just overall unappealing, and even a bit pathetic.
I really haven't been able to think of anything to draw lately. I like drawing people, that's been my focus of late, but I avoid men/boys (for some reason I have no ability to draw them), and you can only draw so many girls in pretty dresses standing under trees (with the occasional bow in hand). That seems to be my style, and it's growing quite boring. So, I just decided today that I'm going to put a little story to my drawings. I draw a lot of people, but I rarely draw scenarios. That's my new goal, scenarios. :) The first one that came to mind, damsel in distress, a knight (yes in literal shining armor), classic. One thing I forgot to mention, I also hate drawing multiple characters on the same paper/canvas/drawingpad thingy. That makes drawing a scenario of a damsel in distress and such pretty challenging. Inspiration to the rescue!!!! I've decided to do a series of drawings, each featuring the character at a certain part of the scene and hang them around my room. The first? Well actually I'm already halfway done with it. It's the damsel...and guess what? Yup, she's in distress. The drawing is actually focused on her face (bowed, eyes closed, tear running down her cheek) and it cuts off around the bottom of her ribcage. She's tied to a tree, or a post or something. Next comes the knight riding to her rescue. Then possibly the two of them together after she's been saved, or her showing her gratitude (probably giving him a true knighthood for his bravery). So yup, that's my project for the moment, I'm kinda excited about it. :) Now I just have to decide if I want it in color or black and white.  Oh and another message to people reading this sentence; :) I will not be posting pictures of the drawings, so you'll have to come over and check out my walls if you want to see the finished product. :)

Writing.. words. :)

I've been writing more lately. :) I love it!!! I went for a run, another thing I absolutely love!!! So I'm excited  I'm auxillary pioneering this month and our circuit overseer is here this week. :) Anyway, I have nothing more to say. Happiness today, feeling productive as of late. That's about it... Oh! I forgot! Girls' Night was a hit today, lots of pictures, and outdoors fun, and pasta for dinner. Later, we watched MegaMind which is an amazing movie!!!!!! :D Anyway...Goodnight, service in the morning. :)

Sooo....

I suppose I should tell you about the concert. It was amazing!!! Too amazing for words!! Or, at least I think it was because I can't think of how to describe it. I have a newfound respect for the Edge now, I already knew Bono is awesome.

Pictures! I have none, I was lacking in the camera department when I needed it. Plus, I was going to post some older pictures just for fun but the programming and such for the slideshow on this website has failed me. Yesterday I made chili! It was delicious and shared with great company. :)

So, it's another dreary day (woke up to snow on the ground...what month is it?!)

and I'm home for today. I was leaning towards a lazy day, possibly finishing the shadow temple on Zelda, but the Wii refuses to cooperate. I am determined to write today! As long as my computer doesn't decide to spontaneously die. :)

Did I mention U2 TONIGHT?!?!?!!!!!!!!

OH YEAH!! Ok...so maybe I'm a little excited... but have you seen the stage?! I've been listening to the music for the past couple days...aaahhh! :) So, if you still don't understand my excitement, here are some pictures that show just how AWESOME it's gonna be!!
Did I mention the stage rotates? AND that shiny cylinder is a giant screen!

Also, I've decided my absolute favorite dog is an Alaskan Malamute. I've always thought they're cute, but it's official, I LOVE them! Now, I just need to remember the name of this great breed so I don't resort to calling them Huskies. Because they aren't Huskies.....They're so cute :)

This picture kills me!!

Gotta Go!

Girls' Night

Girls' night....what can I say? We had 5 extremely hyper teenage girls in a confined space....with cupcakes. ;) It was fun!...insane...but fun. Yup.. that's all I got.

OH! So U2, as I have mentioned before, is coming tomorrow. But! What I didn't mention is the amazing black leather fedora I got to wear. :D I'm quite excited. Although, maybe I should stop telling people it's so amazing...let them decide that for themselves. Oh well, too late now! Pictures from Girls' Night, U2, and other things will be up by Wednesday, I hope. :)

I know it's late...

Yes it's late but there is a storm raging outside my window and it is fantastic! :) So, I was inspired and wrote a little passage, or whatever you want to call it :)

I spread my arms, palms upward, and tilt my face back to soak in the rain. It soaks my skin instantly, my eyelashes filling with droplets, my lips spreading to a grin. The water dances on my face and arms, suddenly illuminated by jagged lightning splitting the sky. A low rumble follows as I twirl, sending droplets flying off me.
A voice behind me shouts, “You’ll catch your death!!”, and for a split second I agree, but the freedom of the water running down my face entices me otherwise. I begin to walk. Slowly, at first but my feet are picking up the pace. Soon I’m flying across the wet ground, so fast I’m breathless. My heart pounds and I laugh as I leap over a deep puddle and continue my flight. Where am I going? I haven’t figured out where. I’m too busy watching the rolling black clouds, watching them continuously disappear behind jagged lights. I awake to the pelting of rain on our roof, and lightning flashing through my window. What a storm :) ~by Brittany Love

Hmm...

My brother tells me to embrace my inner nerd... Am I a nerd?
Cutest I could find :) not the happiest, though
To learn the answer to this question, look at my growing list of favorites :) anyway that's my random thought of the day.

RAIN!!

I forgot to mention, it's raining!! HARD. I am so ready for a run...but I have a girls' night to prepare for as I said before.

Random Fact:

If you know me, you should know this. Two of my absolute favorite songs (for no apparent reason) are Smooth by Santana, and Foolish Games by Jewel. I've added them to my playlist for that exact reason. :) Do not ask me why I like them...I don't even know. LoL. Oh, and, U2 is coming on the 24th!!!!! Woohoo!! I am extremely excited. :) I might have to post a special U2 song to celebrate. Hm. That's all I can think of at the moment. I need to go clean the house for Girls' night tonight. ;)

I'm back!!

Me in my Renaissance/Fantasy make up.
Guaranteed I'll forget I have a blog and not post again for a few months but for now, I'm back. I got my driver's license!!! AND I went to the renaissance fair last Saturday. That was great fun! I watched a joust, looked at strange booths and shot a bow. :) SO. I need to update my music, change around a few things (such as my background), and see if that motivates me to keep all you people updated on my random ponderings. .. We'll see.

Welcome to the Sixties!! :D

I've been going through an oldies entertainment phase. First I got into Swing Jazz, which I only listen to if I feel like dancing around the house and pretending I know what I'm doing when it comes to swing.  :) As everyone knows, I'm a huge fan of period pieces. Pride and Prejudice, The Young Victoria, Gone with the Wind, Les Miserables (the play, haven't seen the movie), etc.

So I've been trying out another time period, the 50's-60's . I've watched a few movies now, Meet Me in St. Louis, Funny Girl, and Ball of Fire... lots of movies lol. By the way, I think they're great!

Also, I went and saw Hairspray in the new theatre in Centerville. They did a fantastic job! It was so much fun.

Oh, and I read Persuasion by Jane Austen. The first of her books I've been able to get through, I loved it!

And these, my friends, are my new interest in fashion. Victorian era especially, some others too. Too bad they're so terribly out of style lol.

Good Morning :)

So, I decided I'm sick of being moody, nauseous, and lethargic. That said, I'm waking up/ going to bed earlier, cutting in half my sugar intake, and I'm determined to be an optimist. Not to mention, exercising. It's starting to make my days better. :) I'm getting my hair cut today!!!!! I'm so excited! :D This time, I'm avoiding the pixie-ish look since I've done that over and over again, so I'm doing more of a sleek angular bob. That'll be a completely new style for me and I can't wait!
This is the look I'm hoping for. :) Sadly I won't look this flawless.

Feeling Energized Today!

So...everyone who looks at my blog probably is friends with me on Facebook, but if you haven't noticed my enthusiasm TRY Zumba and Pilates at Juxtapose :)
I haven't been very athletic lately, and I forgot how much I LOVE it!! It's so much fun, and once I got over my awkward self consciousness I had a ton of fun dancing! Good day today, I woke up early, and I have more energy than I know what to do with. :) Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Gone with The Wind

This book is one of the most life-changing novels I have ever read. It's truly a masterpiece that anyone who values literature needs to read. Margaret Mitchell used her ability to put you in Scarlett's shoes to hook you in, and keep you as a devoted reader, even if you hate everything you read with a passion. She makes you feel Scarlett's devastation, her determination...Any emotion that she feels during the painful trials of her life will be yours, at least until you finish that chapter. It will break your heart time and again as Scarlett goes through her life ignorant of everything that you know anything about. She was so frustrating in every decision she made. Most of the time, while I was reading it, I hated it and loved it. It was so frustrating to read, and painful to see the hurt of so many around her while she remains completely ignorant. Yet, it was so dramatic, interesting, and eye catching that if you start it you are guaranteed to finish all 1037 pages. Even when you're crying your eyes out or yelling with a passion at Scarlett's stupidity, the depressing things in her life will still intrigue you, because, at least they're not you're hardships. The writing style is almost that of poetry, describing beautifully Georgia in the 1800's. I absolutely love this book, though I don't know if I can devote myself to it for another month to read it again. The end comes suddenly, every word of it breaking your heart worse than the rest of the book ever could. Then...it's over, heartbreakingly, inspiringly over. I finished it last night, reading three hundred pages just to finally finish it. Bittersweet is the word to describe it. So sad it's over. FIVE STARS definitely :)
